DIY: Dry Shampoo (4 Ingredients or Less!)

HELLO PARTY PEOPLE!

Here's a simple, step-by-step process on: how to make your own DIY Dry Shampoo,

With 4 Ingredients or less!

It's so simple and easy and WAY better than the dry shampoo you buy at the store.

The reason being, is because almost ALL dry shampoos contain: Alcohol, Liquid Petroleum Gas, Propane, and/or Butane.

And I'm sorry guys, I DO NOT WANT ANY OF THAT S#%T IN MY SCALP, NO THANKS.

So here's how to make my safe version of Dry Shampoo. This is what you will need:

Ingredients:

  1. Cornstarch

  2. Cocoa powder

  3. Cinnamon

  4. Any essential oil of your choice (try not to pick any minty ones like Eucalyptus)

You will also need these easy to find household utensils:

  • Mixing bowl

  • Whisk

  • A tiny container for your final product

Here is the secret formula:

  • 2 tablespoon of corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon (for red hair/light brown hair)
  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder (for dark brown or black hair)
  • A few drops of your essential oil of choice (it's mainly to make it smell gooooood)

Add all of these powders into the mixing bowl and stir with a small whisk. (TRUST ME: you absolutely need the whisk, a spoon or fork will not mix properly.)

If you need your dry shampoo to be lighter, add more cornstarch.  If you need your dry shampoo to be darker, add more cocoa powder.

Then you can add your essential oil of choice and then mix again.

When you are satisfied with the color of your dry shampoo, store it in the small container you have. The shelf-life is a few months (or maybe more), because it's literally just a bunch of powders.

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT! Your very own Propane/Alcohol/Butane/Petroleum-free dry shampoo!

It works even BETTER than the store bought stuff.

Hope you enjoyed it, and comment below to give any feedback, questions, or testimonies!

Peace and love,
