For those of you who don't know me personally, I am originally from New York... NOT the big city like Manhattan or Brooklyn...
I am from upstate New York, which is like a more mountain filled, rural area with farms and nothing but Shop Rite's every 5 miles or so. Very much a suburbia and uneventful (if it wasn't for my friends, I would have died of boredom). When my parents and I went to Church in New City, there was this amazing mom-and-pop Kosher deli that had the BEST corned beef sandwiches and Matzah ball soup.
What the hell is a Matzah, you ask? Essentially, it's a Jewish dumpling made with Matzah meal. It's so light and heavenly delicious... It brings me back to when I was a kid. I ate at that Jewish Deli since I was in diapers. Seriously... ask my mom.
If your looking for Northern, New York style, Jewish comfort food, look no further! Goldberg's is the place for you. This is the only place comparable to the Deli in New City. Of course, nothing compares to New City's deli, but it's pretty close. And thankfully, Goldberg's has many locations around the Metro Atlanta area.
Also forgot to mention that they have amazing looking gelato, freshly baked cookies, and bagels!
Peace and love,
